Dynamic Replacement (DR) is a very inexpensive and efficient method of treating cohesive soils and increasing the moduli of deformation for all soils. This method is particularly attractive when the fines content of the soil exceeds 35%. In this technique granular material is dynamically driven into the soft soil to create large diameter pillars.
